Sommary
Twenty-seven feed samples from Syria and seventeen
samples from Iraq were analyzed for nutrient contents. The Iraqui feeds were
also analyzed for the contents of maca- and microelements. Vicia ervillia from
Syria and olive cake from Syria were tested in metabolic trials on rats. Vicia
ervillia and olive cake were also analyzed for the contents of amino acids.
Amino acids were also investigated in the seedless waste of dates from Iraq.
Some differences in nutrient levels were recorded between the samples and Czechoslovak
data.
