A CONTRIBUTION TO THE MICROPHENOLOGY OF THE WINGED BEAN (Psophocarpus tetragonolobus [L.] DC.)
JANA HAVRÁNKOVÁ
Abstract
The drawings show the course of organogeny of the
winged bean during the period from the end of seed dormancy to anthesis, i.e.
the first 9 stages of the microphenological scale after F. M. Kuperman. The
number assigned to each stage refers to the phase of development of the plant
organ bases which grow in the axils of the leaves. Winged bean is a legume with
successive acropetal development of the main stemf branches and inflorescences.
The terminal apex of the main stew and branches remains permanently vegetative.
