TECHNICAL DIAGNOSTICS FOR FARM MACHINERY REHABILITATION PROGRAMMES IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES
KAREL OTTO
Abstract
In the majority of developing countriesf tractors
and other farm machinesf including the replacement partsr have to be imported.
The requirements for foreign carency are difficult to meet. This intensifies
the problems encountered in the operation, maintenance and repairs of farm machines.
For all these reasons it is important for some developing countries to make
or rebuild replacement parts and/or some assembly units locally. These local
manufacturing should have an adequate quality and effectiveness. Operating diagnosis
of up state used, unserviceable or damaged machines, their assembly units and
individual parts appears to be a useful way towards achieving this goal. Developed
programme, methodology and list of essential equipment for the mobile field
testing stations to be used within the farm machinery rehabilitation programmes
in the developing countries are presented in this article.
