Abstract
The objective of this work was to find the conditions for the direct transfer of genes into the rape. As it was shown the critical point of the whole process of rape transformation was not the own gene transfer but the ability of the isolated protoplasts to regenerate into intact plants. We have therefore optimized the individual steps of the entire process which are inevitable for the direct DNA transfer into the plant protoplasts and we directed our attention at the conditions of regeneration of plants from protoplasts in particular.
