Abstract
Agricultural motorization is gradually expanding even
to the third world conditions. Trials on the economical and ecological viability
of operating mobile agri-culturral machines are a necessity. This can be probably
done using objective test methods. This article presents a method of determining
complex technical state of a tractor engine. The method used is the acceleration
method in which complex technical parameters of a given engine are determined
while running the vehicle on free rolling cylinders/rolls. Dimensional fuel
consumption and specific fuel consumption characteristics are recorded. There
is also a possibility of measuring emission. All these measurements are carried
out in relation to the frequency of rotations and effective torque. The method
can be exploited in test centres, service stations, extension services, during
sales of second hand mobile agricultural machines, lorries and in training centres.
