Abstract
The introduction of modern management notion in most of the majority of African countries dates from the colonization period. In that period, former colonial powers had just transferred their own ways of organizing and management into their colonies. But the adaptation of modern management failed in Sub-Saharan African countries. Management is not a universal science. To be successfully applied in Developing Countries (DC) in general, and in Benin especially, management need to go through a deep mutation and considerate local socio-economical conditions.
This paper deals with the development process, interconnection between agriculture and development and farm management in Benin.
