Abstract
This article deals with further development of Agricultural Technology Management
Program (ATMP). Its Relation to the sustainability of agricultural activities
(operations) has already been highlighted many times. It especially focuses
on technologic and economic aspects of field technologies, their inputs and
outputs as well as final result – net margin.
In the course of development, new program components have been defined and new
units as projected a year ago have materialized. In addition, the position of
the program in the hierarchy of the extension service and in context with Precision
Agriculture Concept was defined and is discussed in this report. The latest
concept is a challenge for further development of the program - to tune it up
with its main principles. Perfect dosage of inputs as the main objective and
tool of the Precision Agriculture well suits the main target of the ATMP Program,
which is profound and economy-based management of machinery and power inputs
in production technologies. In this context, sustainable technologies represent
fine balanced systems involving natural conditions (soil, climate), land-user
skills and experience, machinery capacity and technical perfection.
