Abstract
The study compiles knowledge about the significance of zinc for ruminants, the causes and effects of insufficient zinc, sources
of zinc and its concentration in milk in connection with the human population, analyses the situation of zinc deficiency in cattle in the Czech Republic and addresses inorganic and organic forms of supplementing.
